What is an Intensive?
Therapy Intensives are extended sessions designed for women who want to make significant progress in a shorter amount of time.
These immersive experiences offer the depth of a retreat with the focus of clinical care—giving you uninterrupted time and space to work through what’s been keeping you stuck.
In a calm, supportive environment, we’ll use approaches like Brainspotting, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and mindfulness-based practices to help you process, release, and rebuild from the inside out.
Why Choose a Therapy Intensive vs Traditional Weekly Therapy?
Weekly therapy offers consistency, but it often limits how deep we can go within 45–50 minutes. Intensives allow us to stay with your process longer—creating lasting change in days instead of months.
Intensives are ideal if you want to:
Address trauma or grief without stopping at surface insight.
Move through emotional blocks that traditional therapy hasn’t resolved.
Create breakthroughs in self-worth, boundaries, or identity.
Reconnect with your calm, grounded self—without the rush between sessions.
They’re also time-efficient and cost-effective:
You’ll invest more upfront but spend less overall than ongoing weekly sessions across a full year.
Types of Therapy Intensives

Couples Intensives-For partners wanting to repair trust, improve communication, and restore emotional connection. Whether recovering from conflict, betrayal, or disconnection, couples intensives provide a structured, compassionate space to uncover core issues, strengthen understanding, and rebuild safety together.
How a Therapy Intensive Works
During this session, we'll assess your symptoms and their severity, uncover your therapeutic goals, and the stressful or traumatic experiences you may have had.
We'll also identify any negative beliefs holding you back and recognize the positive resources you already have. Together, we'll establish individualized goals and create a tailored treatment plan designed specifically for you.
Intensives are held in office minutes outside of Tampa Florida in Land O Lakes, or virtually.
They are scheduled for 1-3 days 4 hours each day.
The time will focus on clearing trauma and limiting beliefs and the expansion of desired qualities/states of being.
After your intensive, we'll have a follow-up session dedicated to sharing reflections and insights.
This is a time for you to express how the transformation is impacting you now. We will discuss the next steps on your healing journey.

Yes, intensive therapies are just as effective, and often more effective, than traditional weekly sessions. Especially for trauma treatment, intensives are the preferred method for several reasons (Greenwald et al, 2020):
Accelerated Healing: Intensive therapy allows for deeper work in a shorter period, leading to quicker healing and symptom relief.
Comprehensive Focus: With more time in each session, we can go beyond coping skills and address the root causes of your issues, facilitating profound and lasting transformation.
Customized Treatment: Each intensive is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring a personalized and effective approach to your healing journey.
Efficiency and Stability: Intensives reduce the risk of treatment-related destabilization and life crises disrupting the therapeutic process. Rapid results mean less time spent in distress.
Focused Sessions: Time is not wasted on frequent check-ins, addressing immediate crises, or focusing solely on stabilizing and coping skills that may not be needed after trauma healing.
Overall, intensive therapy offers a more concentrated and effective path to recovery, helping you feel better faster and achieve deeper, long-lasting results.
